About
The adidas Yeezy Boost 750 is the debut sneaker from Kanye West's partnership with adidas, first released February 14, 2015. It was the first model in the Yeezy Boost line, following adidas confirming its deal with West in December 2013. The shoe was publicly unveiled two days earlier, on February 12, 2015, at Kanye West's Yeezy Season 1 presentation in New York City, a runway/commercial event attended by figures including Anna Wintour and Rihanna, at which a second Yeezy silhouette (an early version of what became the Yeezy Boost 350) was also shown. The original Light Brown colorway launched in a run of roughly 9,000 pairs at adidas' SoHo flagship, selling out within about 10 minutes; wider retailer distribution followed February 21-28, 2015. The high-top design features a full suede upper, a distinctive cross-strap over the laces, a full-length zipper, and adidas's Boost-cushioned sole, the material that gives the Boost line its name and became a signature element across later Yeezy models.
