About
The adidas Yeezy Boost 380 is a lifestyle sneaker from Kanye West's Yeezy line, first released in December 2019 in the 'Alien' colorway. It was reportedly developed under the working name 'Yeezy Boost 350 V3' before being confirmed as its own standalone model, the Boost 380. The shoe introduced a new Primeknit pattern on its upper and notably dropped the signature lateral side stripe seen on earlier Yeezy Boost models. Its midsole uses a visibly thicker full-length Boost cushioning unit than its predecessors, paired with a rubber outsole. The upper has a soft, sock-like construction that is mostly Primeknit, with a high rear collar and Achilles pads for comfort, and functions more as a slip-on than a traditional laced shoe since the laces do not meaningfully tighten the fit. It released at select retailers including Dover Street Market, END Clothing, Kith, Undefeated, and Yeezy Supply, at an original retail price of $230 USD.
