The adidas Yeezy 450 is a lifestyle sneaker from the Yeezy imprint, the Kanye West-led collaboration with adidas. It debuted on March 6, 2021, in the 'Cloud White' colorway under style code H68038, releasing exclusively through Yeezy Supply. The shoe was designed by Steven Smith, who also worked on the Nike Zoom Streak Spectrum Plus and the Reebok Insta Pump Fury. Unlike most Yeezy footwear, the 450 does not use Boost or adiPRENE cushioning, making it the first non-Boost model in the Yeezy lineup; it relies instead on an EVA foam midsole. Its construction pairs a sock-like mesh upper with a distinctive lacing setup, set atop an aggressive, deep-tread white outsole that gives the shoe a bold, chunky stance. First previewed publicly in 2019 when Kanye West was photographed wearing an early sample outside the Yeezy Season 8 show during Paris Fashion Week, the silhouette spent roughly two years in development before its official retail debut. At launch it retailed for $200 USD.
