About
The Nike P-6000 debuted in spring 2019 as a brand new retro runner, arriving first as the P-6000 CNPT in a Metallic Silver/White/University Red colourway alongside a Triple Black version. It is a shoe that never technically existed in the 2000s, yet looks like it walked straight out of them: the design blends elements of two Nike Pegasus models from that era, the Pegasus 25 and the Pegasus 2006. The upper pairs a breathable mesh base with layered leather overlays running both horizontally and vertically, finished with a glossy patent leather Swoosh. Underfoot sits a Cushlon foam midsole with no visible Air unit, atop a waffle-pattern rubber outsole, and there is extra padding in the collar and tongue. Launch pricing was $100 to $120 depending on colourway. Though rooted in early-2000s running design, the P-6000 is positioned as a lifestyle sneaker rather than a performance runner. Its popularity surged in 2023 and 2024 on the back of the Y2K revival, with a steady stream of new colourways including Metallic Silver, Coconut Milk and Sundial, making it one of Nike's most-worn lifestyle silhouettes.
