The PUMA Palermo is a low-top terrace sneaker that debuted in 1980s football stadiums, where it became a staple among British soccer terrace crowds. It originated as part of a special PUMA series honoring European cities, with Palermo referencing the capital of Sicily. The shoe carries a suede and leather upper, a T-toe construction, a classic gum outsole, white laces, and a signature gold-stamped PUMA tag on the lateral panel. PUMA revived the OG blue-and-white colourway on July 8, 2023, teased earlier that year by brand ambassador Dua Lipa, followed by additional colourways inspired by Palermo's fruit vendors. Since its comeback it has been worn by contemporary figures including Dua Lipa and Jack Grealish, and has appeared in collaborations with Asphaltgold, Harry Potter, and Squid Game franchises.
