About
The Crocs Bayaband Clog launched in 2018 (style number 205089, colorway 205089-4CC, per StockX) as a slip-on silhouette built by combining two other Crocs models rather than reworking the original Classic Clog. Crocs' own product description states the brand "took two of our most iconic clog silhouettes — Baya and Crocband — and combined them to create a special pair that elevates the sleek, fashion-athletic spirit of the originals to another level," pairing the Baya's shapely toe box with the Crocband's sporty, contrast-color side band and raised "crocs" wordmark. Like the Classic Clog, it keeps a pivoting heel strap for a more secure fit, but its shell reads slimmer than the boxier Classic silhouette. It uses Crocs' signature lightweight, flexible construction, marketed under the tagline "Lightweight. Flexible. 360-degree comfort," with ventilated perforations across the upper and room for up to 26 Jibbitz charms. Crocs also sells the Bayaband name across a wider line beyond the clog, including a Bayaband Flip and Bayaband Slide. At launch it retailed for around $55, per StockX, and has since remained a mainstay of the Crocs lineup sold through Target, Walmart, and other major retailers.
