About

The Adidas EQT Support 93 emerged from a pivotal moment in the brand's history. In 1991, Adidas launched the Equipment (EQT) line, conceived by Peter Moore and Robert Strasser — the same duo behind the original Air Jordan 1 — as part of a strategy to reposition Adidas at the forefront of athletic footwear. The EQT philosophy was direct: every shoe should contain everything essential to the athlete and nothing superfluous. The Support 93, a running model, arrived in a distinctive colorway of white, green, and black. The Equipment launch also marked the moment Adidas retired its classic Trefoil logo in favor of the modern three-bar performance logo. The line spanned running, basketball, and training categories, each model coded by sport. The EQT Support 93 faded from shelves during the late 1990s but experienced a major revival beginning in 2013, when Adidas began re-releasing OG colorways through its Originals line. Later iterations such as the EQT Support 93/16 and 93/17 introduced Boost cushioning into the classic silhouette, bridging the shoe's performance heritage with contemporary cushioning technology.
