JAIDE x Air Jordan 11 Low 'Fiberglass': The AJ11 Gets Its First-Ever Collaboration

In 31 years, Jordan Brand has never handed the Air Jordan 11 to a collaborator. On June 27, JAIDE — James Whitner's women-focused boutique — becomes the first. The 'Fiberglass' colorway at $205 is mint perfection with a lot of legacy behind it.

The Air Jordan 11 has existed since 1995. Michael Jordan wore it through the 72-10 season, through the 1996 NBA Finals, through a run that most people with any sports knowledge can still recite. In those thirty-one years, Jordan Brand has never handed it to a collaborator. Not CDG. Not Fragment. Not Off-White. The silhouette has been available in dozens of colorways and countless retro releases, but a collaborative pair — one that carries a boutique's name on the heel — has never happened. Until June 27.

JAIDE, the women-focused retail concept under James Whitner's The Whitaker Group, releases the Air Jordan 11 Low "Fiberglass" at $205 in women's sizing only. Style code IW1882-300. It drops first at JAIDE boutiques in Atlanta and Charlotte, then on SNKRS. The shoe itself is deliberately restrained. Soft mint. Monochromatic. Understated in a way that the Air Jordan 11 has rarely been. That restraint is the right call.

The Design: Mint, Monochromatic, and Thoroughly Considered

The upper is soft mint, coded "Fiberglass" in Jordan Brand's color system, somewhere between sage and seafoam, cool without being cold. The patent leather mudguard, which defines the AJ11's silhouette, is rendered in a softer, less mirror-polished finish than the standard model. Satin rather than patent gloss. It reads more grown-up than flashy, consistent with every design decision The Whitaker Group has made in their Jordan Brand work.

Icy translucent outsoles. White midsole accents. Black Jumpman on the heels. Laces in matching mint. The heel tab is split: "23" on one panel, "JAIDE" on the other. That is the only place where the collaboration announces itself directly. Everything else is restraint in service of a very specific aesthetic — the kind of shoe that rewards closer attention rather than demanding it from across the room.

One detail to note on the style code: JustFreshKicks imagery shows IW1883-300 in file names, but the article text and Yahoo Shopping's coverage both confirm IW1882-300 as the official style code. The "300" suffix in Jordan Brand's numbering typically denotes a green or teal colorway family, consistent with Fiberglass.

Why The Whitaker Group Gets to Do This First

James Whitner did not get access to the Air Jordan 11 by accident. The Whitaker Group — which includes A Ma Maniiere, APB, Social Status, and JAIDE — has spent years building some of the most critically respected Jordan Brand collaborations in the market. The A Ma Maniiere x Air Jordan 1 set a benchmark for how a boutique collab should look and feel. The relationship runs deep, and the trust required to hand over a silhouette this protected reflects that history directly.

According to HotNewHipHop's coverage, Jordan Brand "historically kept the 11 almost completely off-limits" for collaborations. JustFreshKicks has also reported that CDG and APB are developing Air Jordan 11 collaborations for 2026, so JAIDE is most accurately described as the first to release among a wave of 2026 AJ11 collabs rather than the singular first in the silhouette's history. But first to release on the most protected model in Jordan Brand's catalog still means something. Someone had to open the door.

The women's-only positioning is consistent with JAIDE's mandate and is also strategically sharp. The AJ11 has always had strong women's appeal, but the Jordan Brand collab ecosystem has historically under-served women collectors. JAIDE doing this in women's sizing only is not just staying in their lane. It is centering whose culture this collaboration belongs to.

India Pricing and the Reality of Getting a Pair

At $205 retail, this is a $205 shoe that will not be $205 for Indian buyers. Import duty and GST on foreign footwear push GOAT or StockX-imported pairs to approximately ₹36,000 to ₹42,000 landed in India. Women's-exclusive Jordan collabs with boutique origins typically carry a meaningful secondary premium, especially in the first 60 days. The Whitaker Group's track record means the initial resale wave will be well above retail.

Nike SNKRS India has listed Whitaker Group collabs before, including select A Ma Maniiere drops. Watch the SNKRS app from June 26 onwards. A SNKRS India listing means buying at $205 equivalent without the import tax. If it misses SNKRS India, buying through a UK or US forwarding service at retail plus shipping is meaningfully more cost-effective than full grey market pricing. Superkicks and Crepslocker India are also worth checking in the weeks after launch — both have sourced Whitaker Group collabs in the past.

Sizing is women's exclusive. If you typically wear men's sizes, the Jordan Brand conversion runs approximately two sizes down: women's 8 equals roughly men's 6.5. The AJ11 Low tends to run slightly narrow through the toe box. Size up half a size if you are on the cusp.

Is It Worth Chasing?

At retail, yes. If you get it at $205 through SNKRS or JAIDE direct, this is a landmark shoe at a fair price. The Fiberglass colorway is elegant without being boring. The construction on The Whitaker Group's previous Jordan Brand work sets a high standard, and there is no reason to expect JAIDE's first Jordan collab to fall short of that.

At ₹40,000-plus imported: it depends on what the Air Jordan 11 means to you specifically. If the 11 is your silhouette, the first-ever collaboration on it is worth the premium. Full stop. If you are drawn more broadly to The Whitaker Group's aesthetic, the A Ma Maniiere collaborations with Jordan Brand offer similar design sensibility at prices that are occasionally more accessible on secondary markets.

Honest take: the Fiberglass colorway is better than it needs to be. Mint patent leather should be a risk on a silhouette this formal. It works because the saturation is calibrated precisely right — cool enough to feel intentional, soft enough to feel wearable. A Ma Maniiere's track record says The Whitaker Group does not release things that embarrass themselves. This one will not.
