Jordan Brand is releasing an olive Air Jordan 4 Retro on October 31, 2026, and it will not be sold in America or in India. The "Light Army", style code JA5911-320, is a Europe exclusive: €210 at the headline, £190 at size? and Offspring in the UK, $220 per the American outlets. Sneaker Bar Detroit's Mario Briguglio confirmed the date on October 15 and Sneakerjagers lists the same day with the euro price.
So the question for an Indian Jordan 4 buyer is not "is it nice". It is nice. The question is whether a muted, non-OG colourway is worth a forwarder, a customs bill and a month of waiting, when there are Jordan 4s on Indian shelves right now for less than the landed cost. We will argue both sides and then tell you what we would actually do.
The Case for Chasing the Light Army
The shoe first. Light Army nubuck everywhere, wings included. Light Silver and Cargo Khaki pick out the mesh panels and eyelets, the netting goes grey, the collar a shade lighter, and a darker Cargo Khaki takes over the tongue, midsole and outsole. Official colourway: Light Army/Light Silver-Cargo Khaki-Phantom. Michael Jordan never wore this. Sneaker Bar Detroit says so plainly; it is a new colourway with no link to his playing career.
That is the appeal. Olive nubuck on a Jordan 4 ages beautifully, the grey netting and eyelets keep it from looking like a military costume, and a Europe-only run means you will not see it on every third person at a Mumbai sneaker meet. Just Fresh Kicks reported in August that no pairs would reach the Western hemisphere, which also means American resellers cannot flood it. Scarcity by geography is still scarcity.
The date wobbled for a while. House of Heat and Sneakerfiles still list October 2. Nice Kicks went with October 31 on September 29, and this week Sneaker Bar Detroit and Sneakerjagers both landed on the 31st too. Call it settled. Price is less tidy: Sneakerjagers shows Nike's own store at €189.99 against a €210 headline, so expect a few euros' difference by country.
The Case for Buying What Is Already Here
So how much does an Air Jordan 4 cost once it lands in India? Here is the maths, with the open.er-api.com rate of ₹95.25 to the dollar on October 15, 2026. €210 is about ₹22,364. £190 is about ₹23,934. Footwear imports into India carry a 49.15 percent duty stack (20 percent basic customs duty, an agriculture cess of 4 percent of value, a 2.4 percent surcharge and 18 percent IGST on the lot, per the Eximpe HSN calculator, rates as at May 13, 2026). That lands the euro pair at roughly ₹33,400 and the UK pair near ₹35,700, before a forwarder's fee, and before you have beaten the European raffles, which you are entering from the wrong continent.
Compare that with what is on our shelf this week. The Air Jordan 4 Retro "Birds of Paradise" is ₹21,295 in three sizes. The Air Jordan 4 Comic is ₹23,495 in four. Both are in India today, and both cost roughly ₹10,000 to ₹14,000 less than a Light Army would after it clears customs. The Black Cat 2025 on our site is ₹35,295 in the one size left, which is the only in-India Jordan 4 price in the same bracket as an imported Light Army.
What Resale Will Not Tell You Yet
StockX already has a Light Army page up with the $220 retail and the style code, but the market data would not load when we checked, and the shoe has not released, so there is no real sales history to read. We are not going to invent a premium. The honest read is this: the buyers most likely to push first-week resale are Americans who cannot get it at retail, and Indian buyers end up paying that premium plus duty. If you want a number, wait for the second week of November and look at sold listings in UK sizes, not asks.
Our Pick, and Why
If you already own two or three Jordan 4s and the olive gap in your rotation is bothering you, chase the Light Army. Set up a UK or EU forwarder now, enter the size? and Offspring launches on the 31st, budget ₹36,000 all-in and accept that the money is for the colour, not for value. It is a wear-it shoe, and olive nubuck looks better at month six than at day one. One warning for Mumbai and Chennai buyers: nubuck and monsoon do not get along, so on the coast this is an October-to-May pair, and a brush-and-protector-spray pair the rest of the year.
If this would be your first or second Jordan 4, buy here. The Birds of Paradise at ₹21,295 is a louder shoe but it is a 2026 release at a fair price, and the Comic at ₹23,495 is the better daily pair of the two. Sizing on the Jordan 4 is true to size with a snug midfoot; the nubuck softens over a few wears, so do not size up to compensate.
Styling. Light Army wants earth: khaki cargos, a cream tee, nothing up top louder than your feet. Birds of Paradise is the reverse. Wear black head to toe and let the mango shout.
₹36,000 to land one, or about ₹21,000 for one already here. That is the debate, really. Every Jordan 4 we carry is on our Jordan page. Sources: Sneaker Bar Detroit, Sneakerjagers, Just Fresh Kicks.
